Coal miner PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) will distribute a cash dividend of US$146.8 million for the 2020 financial year.

"We continue to maintain our commitment to provide shareholder returns by distributing cash dividends on a regular basis," said Adaro Energy President Director and Chief Executive Officer Garibaldi Thohir in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (27/4).

The company's dividend is equivalent to 99% of the total net profit in 2020, which reached US$147 million, while the rest will be allocated as retained earnings.

ADRO's dividend payout ratio (DPR) for the 2020 financial year is much higher than that of the company's DPR in the last two years. However, the amount of dividends distributed is smaller than the dividends of the last two years.

This is in line with the company's profit in 2020, which shrank 63.8% to US$147 million compared to the 2019 achievement of US$404.19 million.
