PT Adhi Karya (Persero) and Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) are partnered to form a joint venture company, PT Karian Water Services to build a Karian-Serpong drinking water supply system (SPAM) project.

This SPAM investment project is a project with an intergovernmental cooperation scheme with PPP. The investment is partly financed through equity payments from Adhi Karya and K-Water as the consortium winning the auction and is partially funded through investment credit. 70% of K-Water's ownership in the Karian-Serpong SPAM project, and 30% of it is ADIH's portion.

As a shareholder, ADHI will provide equity payment of Rp250 billion for project development in the form of equity. "Hopefully, this investment project can increase ADHI's profits and add value to the company in building a drinking water purification and distribution system for people in the DKI Jakarta, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City areas," said ADHI Corporate Secretary, Parwanto Noegroho in a press release, Friday (5/3).

The Karian-Serpong SPAM is part of a national strategic project, with a clean water supply capacity of 4,600 liters per little which is expected to serve 386,000 house connections. This project gets returns on a take or pays basis from the person in charge of the work project.
