Arwana Citra Net Profit Jumps 80% to 118.3 Billion Rupiah in First Quarter


Ceramic producer PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA) recorded a solid financial performance throughout the first quarter of 2021.

Based on the unaudited financial reports as of March 31, 2021, quoted on Monday (19/4), net sales were at Rp662.38 billion, an increase of 13.49% from the same period the previous year, amounting to Rp583.61 billion.

The cost of goods sold slightly increased to Rp430.56 billion from Rp422.11 billion in the previous year.

Other expenses also increased from selling expenses account to Rp55.36 billion, up from Rp50.17 billion in the same period the previous year. Thus, profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent company jumped to Rp118.32 billion, up 80.11% from Rp65.69 billion in the previous year.

As of the first quarter of 2021, the company's total current assets also increased to Rp2.2 trillion compared to the record for the full year 2020 or as of December 31, 2020, which was Rp1.97 trillion. With details, total current assets increased from the quarter of Rp 1.35 trillion, an increase from December 2020 of Rp1.18 trillion.

Meanwhile, non-current assets also increased to Rp46.22 billion from the period per December 2020, which amounted to Rp787.17 billion.

The company's total liabilities also increased from per quarter I / 2021 to Rp984.86 billion from the record per December 2020 of Rp665.4 billion. Meanwhile, total short-term liabilities increased to Rp919.29 billion from the previous financial reporting period of Rp602.4 billion.

The increase was mainly from actual expenses to Rp395.59 billion. Total long-term liabilities also increased slightly to Rp65.56 billion from Rp62.82 billion in the previous period.
