Jakarta -PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) is optimistic that performance in the automotive sector will improve with the support of 100% government-born Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (PPnBM) incentives.

"This year's car sales performance has been helped by the provision of PPnBM incentives that will take effect in March this year and the improvement in the national economy," said Astra International Head of Investor Relations Tira Ardianti in a statement on Friday (1/10).

According to Tira, his party hopes to maintain a 50 percent car market share.

"In general, Astra's business performance this year has improved compared to last year's performance. Better domestic economic conditions this year will still provide better performance, even though Indonesia is experiencing a second wave of pandemics in mid-2021," he explained.
