Bank Tabungan Sees Demand for Mortgage to Increase

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk saw demand for mortgages has begun to increase due to the provision of stimulus in the property and mortgage sector, which takes effect from March 1, 2021.

Director of Consumer & Commercial Lending Bank BTN Hirwandi Gafar said demand for housing loans in 2021 began to show an increase, in line with the economic stimulus from the government. Bank BTN has also optimized these various stimuli by innovating to boost KPR distribution, especially for low-income people.

"In the midst of a pandemic, housing is an urgent need because various activities are carried out at home. We continue to strive to support developers to produce subsidized houses and spur credit realization so that more Indonesian can own houses," said Hirwandi in Jakarta on Monday (19/4).

The company with the issuer code BBTN continues to encourage the realization of subsidized housing loans (KPR) to support the acceleration of national economic recovery.

Until April 15, 2021, Bank BTN has disbursed subsidized KPR for more than 31,000 housing units.

Since the pandemic began in early 2020 to mid-April 2021, the company has provided subsidized KPR, both conventional and sharia, for more than 153,000 housing units. The value of distribution for the hundreds of thousands of residences is equivalent toRp21.5 trillion.
