Jakarta - PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) repurchased the remaining notes with a total value of US$161.47 million.

"After evaluating the company's financial condition and several provisions of the debt securities which impose several restrictions on the company's corporate activities, the company decided to purchase the remaining notes to reduce debt and interest expenses as well as provide convenience and flexibility for the company to carry out its corporate activities. BYAN President Director Dato Low Tuck Kwong said in information disclosure in Jakarta on Tuesday (26/10).

The details are the principal amount outstanding of US$149.10 million and the applicable premium of Rp10.16 million, as well as the accrued interest of US$2.20 million.

With the remaining debt securities repurchase, Bayan has paid off all notes that should be due in 2023.

The company used internal cash to finance the buyback.
