Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) stated that investment continues to increase in Indonesia, in line with the improving performance of the business sector, especially in the manufacturing, agriculture, and communications sectors.

"The improvement in investment performance is reflected in the improving performance of the economic sector, manufacturing, agriculture, communications and a number of other sectors," said Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo at The 3rd Java Investment Summit 2021 on Thursday (21/10).

In September 2021, Indonesia recorded Manufacturing PMI to have increased to an expansionary phase of 52.2. However, in the previous month, the manufacturing sector declined with the Manufacturing PMI in the contraction phase of 43.7.

Based on a survey of BI's business activities, the agricultural, plantation, livestock, forestry, and fishery sectors recorded an increase in performance in the third quarter of 2021, which was driven
