Jakarta - Bank Indonesia announced the results of a survey of demand and supply of bank financing, indicating the need for corporate funding in September increased compared to the previous month.

"This is indicated by the Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of 11.1%, higher than the August 2021 SBT of 0.9%," said Head of the BI Communications Department Group Head, Muhamad Nur, in a press release on Friday (15/10).

Several sectors, such as the Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Mining sectors, are indicated to have increased financing needs compared to the previous month, primarily to support operational activities, domestic recovery, and pay off maturing obligations.

Respondents stated that most of the sources of financing came from their funds, domestic bank loans, and loans from parent companies which indicated an increase.
