RT-PCR Costs Drop, AP I Optimistic of Increased Flight Traffic


Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura I is optimistic that flight passenger traffic will increase following the decrease in the cost of PCR swabs.

"We very much welcome the Government's policy regarding reducing the cost of RT-PCR," said AP I President Director Faik Fahmi in his statement, Friday (20/8).

According to Faik, besides being able to help increase the number of COVID-19 tests so that transmission can be more regulated, a more controlled pandemic will improve people's confidence to travel by air, so that flight traffic can slowly increase.

Following the policy, the cost of RT-PCR at Angkasa Pura I airports that have RT-PCR test services have been reduced.  As a result, the price of RT-PCR at Angkasa Pura, I airports on the islands of Java and Bali, is Rp495,000, and the cost of RT-PCR at airports outside Java and Bali is Rp525,000.
