BRI Cuts Prime Loan Interest Rates in All Segments


PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk made adjustments to the prime lending rate of March 31, 2021. The primary lending rate adjustments are made for all business segments.

Based on the announcement published today, on Friday (9/4), the bank has set the basic loan interest rate for the corporate credit business segment at 8 percent, retail credit at 8.25%, and microcredit at 14%. The prime lending rate for consumer credit, namely KPR at 7.25% and non-KPR at 8.75%.

Previously, the prime lending rate that was valid as of December 31, 2020, was corporate credit of 9.95%, retail credit of 9.75%, and microcredit of 16.50. Meanwhile, the prime lending rate for mortgage consumption credit was 9.90%, and non-mortgage loans were 12%.

This prime lending rate does not consider the risk premium component, the amount of which depends on the bank's assessment of the risk of each debtor. Thus, the credit interest rate charged to debtors is not necessarily the same as the prime lending rate.

Non-KPR consumer credit does not include the provision of funds through credit cards and unsecured loans. Business segment according to SE OJK No.34 / SEOJK.03 / 2017 dated July 7, 2017. Retail segment credit includes medium credit, not including the CKPN fee.
