Jakarta - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk has made additional capital to PT Bank Raya Indonesia Tbk (AGRO) of Rp199 billion.

"The increase in capital was carried out in the context of exercising the right to increase capital with Bank Raya's pre-emptive rights," said BRI Corporate Secretary Aestika Pryza Gunarto in information disclosure on Thursday (12/22).

He considered this transaction to strengthen Bank Raya's capital, especially as working capital in channeling digital-based funds and maintaining the company's share ownership so that it is not diluted by exercising all of its preemptive rights.

The company has also received approval from BRI shareholders and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to carry out this transaction.

After this additional capital was paid up and deposited at Bank Raya, it stood at Rp2.148 trillion, or 86.85%, with the public at 13.15%.
