Bukalapak Invites Startups to IPO, List on IDX


Jakarta - PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) invites Indonesian startups to follow in its footsteps on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

President of Bukalapak, Teddy Oetomo, said that entering the capital market would increase Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP).

"The ratio of Indonesia's market cap to GDP is still low compared to other countries. The reason is that many tech companies have not IPOs in Indonesia," he said in a virtual discussion on  Thursday (14/10).

According to Teddy, as the first startup to debut on the Exchange, Bukalapak invites other startups to list their shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), considering the number of startups born there.

"We are optimistic that all IPO startups can advance the Indonesian capital market. Indonesia has a lot of big tech startups, we want to invite other technology friends, let's take the floor together at IDX so that Indonesia's capital market
