PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) stated that it plans not to carry out any exploration activities until the next six months or September 2021.

"This action is carried out specifically for additional resources outside the area that has obtained an exploitation permit," said PTBA Corporate Secretary Appolonius Andwie in the IDX disclosure on Thursday (18/3).

At the end of 2020, PTBA posted a net profit of Rp2.4 trillion or decreased by 41% compared to the same period the previous year of Rp4.05 trillion. A contraction of around 20% in revenue, to Rp17.32 trillion from Rp21.78 trillion in 2019, led to a lower profit.
