Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange was observing the development of the pattern of stock transactions of PT Batulicin Nusantara Maritim Tbk (BESS) due to an unusual increase in stock prices (unusual market activity/UMA).

IDX Transaction Supervision Division Head Lidia M Panjaitan said the bourse expected investors to pay close attention to BESS's response to the exchange's confirmation request, observe the company's performance and information disclosure.

"In addition, reviewing corporate actions if they have not obtained the approval of the GMS and considering various possibilities that may arise in the future before making investment decisions," she said in her statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/10).

He added that the announcement of UMA did not necessarily indicate a violation of the laws and regulations in the capital market sector.
