Jakarta - PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG) stated that the company's subsidiary, PT Imbang Tata Alam (ITA), found 115 million barrels of new oil from the Malacca Strait PSC block.

"The new oil discovery is being certified by Oil and Gas Consultants Gaffney, Cline & Associates," said ENRG President Director Syailendra S. Bakrie, as quoted in the IDX information disclosure in Jakarta on Tuesday (6/7).

Based on the Advanced Field Development Optimization (OPLL) work in the TB Field, ITA also managed to find an additional 41 million barrels of on-site oil.

"For this reason, the total number of original oil in place discoveries in the TB and Ringgit fields is 156 million barrels (115 million barrels + 41 million barrels)," he explained.

He considered that the new oil discovery would positively impact the company's production and financial performance in the near future.
