First Session, JCI Climbs 0.18% to 6,656


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session, Monday (25/10), rose 12.08 points (0.18%) to 6,655.82.

Two hundred seventy-nine stocks rose, 206 stocks weakened, and 267 stocks remained stagnant. The total transaction volume reached 14.24 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp9.70 trillion.

The strengthening of several sectoral indices supported the increase in the JCI. The index with the biggest gain was the Technology Sector IDX, which rose 3.67%.

Meanwhile,  PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), which rose 7.41%, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) climbed 4.41%, PT Evidence Asam Tbk (PTBA) rose 3% were among the LQ45 top gainers.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), down 2.94%. PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) down 2.89%. PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) is down 2.04%.
