First Session, JCI Down 0.06% at 6,076


The Jakarta Composite Index in the first trading session on Friday (16/4), fell 3.61 points or 0.06% to 6,075.89.

Of all traded stocks, 209 stocks were up, 235 stocks down and 187 stocks unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 10.82 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.23 trillion.

Six sectoral indices weakened and dragged the JCI movement. Weakening from the deepest was the basic industrial sector which fell 0.56%, the construction sector fell 0.49%, and the financial sector fell 0.38%.

Furthermore, the manufacturing sector fell 0.37%, the consumer goods sector declined 0.27%, the miscellaneous industrial sector was down 0.23%.

Meanwhile, four other sectors strengthened. The biggest gain in print was the plantation sector which shot 2.07%. The mining sector was up 1.43%, the trade and services sector up 0.57%, and the infrastructure sector up 0.33%.

The stocks included in the LQ45 top gainers were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) up 9.59%, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) up 5.13%, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) up 3, 36%.

While the stocks among the LQ45 top losers were PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN), which fell 2.6%, PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) declined 2.08%, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) decreased 1.92 %.
