First Session, JCI Falls 0.23% to 5,972
The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, on Thursday (1/4), was down 0.23% or 13.57 points to 5,971.95.
Two hundred ten shares rose, 252 shares fell, and 148 stocks were unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 15.36 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp4.93 billion.
Six sectors fell along with the JCI. The construction and property sector fell 0.94%, the financial sector fell 0.57%, the consumer goods sector fell 0.54%, the infrastructure sector fell 0.26%, the basic industry sector fell 0.19%, the manufacturing sector fell 0, 13%.
Four sectors strengthened. The miscellaneous industrial sectors rose 1.37%, the plantation sector rose 1.20%, the trade and services sector rose 0.56%, the mining sector rose 0.32%.
