First Session, JCI Falls 0.45% to 6,629


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), in the first trading session on Tuesday (19/10), ended down 30.09 points or 0.45% to 6,628.68.

There were 232 stocks that rose, 265 shares weakened, and 154 stocks were stagnant. The total share trading volume reached 16.44 billion shares with a total value of Rp8.16 trillion.

Eight sectoral indices weakened following the decline in the JCI. At the same time, the other two sectoral indices survived to the green zone.

Meanwhile, the top gainers among the stocks in the LQ45 were PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) (3.14%), PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) (1.39%), PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) ( 1.20%).

Among the top losers in the LQ45, included PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) (-2.83%), PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) (-2.38%), PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) (-2.27%).
