First Session, JCI Falls 1.11% to 6,529


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index, in the first trading session on Thursday (28/10), weakened 73.518 points or 1.11% to 6,528.69.

There were 126 stocks up, 387 stocks down, and 136 stocks unchanged. The total transaction volume reached 13.67 billion shares with turnover of Rp7.68 trillion.

The JC declined as a decline in several sectoral indices dragged it down. The index with the deepest weakness was the Energy Sector IDX, which fell 2.97%.

Stocks among the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) that rose 3.52%. PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) climbed 2.31%, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) gained 1.6 %.

Meanwhile, the LQ45 top losers included PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG), down 6.11%, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) down 5.88%, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) down 5.31%.
