First Session, JCI Falls 1.37% to 6,289


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, Thursday (4/3), fell 87.52 points or 1.37% to 6,289.23.

All sectoral indices weakened until this afternoon. The mining sector still led the fall by 2.90%; the infrastructure sector fell 2.04%, the miscellaneous industry sector was down 1.40%, the financial sector fell 1.28%. The manufacturing sector fell 1.21%.

Meanwhile, the basic industrial sector fell 1.27%, the consumer goods sector fell 1.10%, the trade, and services sector fell 0.97%, the construction, and property sector fell 0.73%, and the plantation sector fell 0.70%.

124 stocks rose, 354 shares fell, and 139 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 19.06 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp8.95 trillion.

The shares included in the LQ45 top gainers were PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), which rose 0.89%, PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) was up 0.84%, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF)  gained 0.65%.

For the stocks that entered the LQ45 top losers, including, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) fell 6.75%, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) was down 6.67%, PT Mitra Keluarga Karya Sehat Tbk (MIKA) slipped 4.78% .

Foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp142.23 billion in all markets. The stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) Rp110 billion, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) Rp88 billion, and PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) Rp27.8 billion.

The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) with Rp42.9 billion, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) Rp14.6 billion, and PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) Rp14.3 billion.
