First Session, JCI Fell 1.8% to 5,963


At the end of the first session today, Wednesday (31/3), the Jakarta Composite Index fell 1.78% or 107.98 points to 5,963.46.

Of all traded stocks, 108 stocks rose, 368 shares fell, and 145 stocks were unchanged. The total volume of transactions reached 7.66 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.30 trillion.

All sectoral indexes fell along with the JCI. The deepest decline was the basic industrial sector which fell 3.10%, and the financial sector fell 2.22%, the manufacturing sector fell 2.11%, the miscellaneous industry sector fell 1.82%, the construction and property sectors fell 1.81%.

The consumer goods sector also experienced a 1.39% decline, the mining sector was down 1.26%, the trade and services sector fell  0.94%, and the plantation sector fell by 0.80%, and the infrastructure sector fell by 0.54%.
