First Session, JCI Rises 0.18% to 6,371


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, on Wednesday (3/3), rose 11.43 points or 0.18% to 6,370.64.

Of the ten sectors, only three sectoral indices strengthened this afternoon. The miscellaneous industry sector led the increase by 1.33%. The financial sector rose 0.88%, construction and property sectors rose 0.11%.

Meanwhile, seven sectors are in the red zone. The basic industrial sector fell 0.62%, the trade and services sector fell 0.58%, the consumer goods sector fell 0.54%, the manufacturing sector fell 0.29%, the plantation sector fell 0.23%, the infrastructure and mining sectors fell -0.13% and 0.03% respectively.

There were 199 stocks higher, 248 shares fell, 183 shares were unchanged. The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 13.14 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp6.42 trillion.

Meanwhile, the stocks among the LQ45 top gainers were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) which was up 3%, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) rose 2.32%, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) gained 2.10%.

Meanwhile, among the top losers in the LQ45 included PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM), which fell 2.92%, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) was down 2.92%, PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) declined 2.75%.
