First Session, JCI Rises 0.82% to 6,173


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session today, Friday (26/3), rose 50.34 points or 0.82% to 6,173,211.

Three hundred nine stocks rose, 145 stocks fell, and 151 stocks were stagnant. The total trading volume of 8.7 billion shares with a turnover of Rp6.1 trillion.

All ten sectoral indices are green areas. The three sectors that contributed most to the JCI increase were mining which rose 2.69%, miscellaneous industries, 1.54%, and agriculture, 1.37%.

While the stocks among the top gainers in the LQ45, namely, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), which rose 10.55% to Rp2,410, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) rose 6.19% to Rp4,630, PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) increased 3.66% to Rp3,680.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) fell 2.22% to Rp11,025, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) fell 2.14% to Rp2,750, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa Tbk (INTP) decreased 1.33% to Rp13,000.

Unfortunately, the higher JCI was limited by foreign investors selling. In the regular market, foreign investors net sold of equities worth Rp47.453 billion and Rp58.322 billion for the entire market.

The stocks that foreigners mostly sold were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) amounted to Rp113.3 billion, PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) Rp13.1 billion, and PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) Rp12.6 billion.

The stocks most collected by foreign investors were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) worth Rp47.7 billion, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) Rp40.4 billion, and PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) Rp25.6 billion.
