First Session, JCI Rises 1.1 Percent to 6,300


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of the first trading session today, Monday (22/2), rose 68,320 points or 1.10 percent to 6,300,252.

Two hundred fifty-seven stocks rose, 206 stocks fell, and 165 stocks were stagnant. Total volume reached 9.4 billion shares with a market turnover of Rp8.8 trillion.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) which rose 12.93 percent to Rp 2,970, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) rose 6.49 percent to Rp. 16,400, PT Mitra Keluarga Karya Sehat Tbk (MIKA) increased 4.67 percent to Rp3,140

Among the top losers in the LQ45 index included, PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) fell 1.70 percent to Rp. 1,155, PT Charoen Pokphand Tbk (CPIN) fell 1.61 percent to Rp. 6,100, PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) decreased 0.93 percent to Rp10,650.
