First Session, JCI Rises 1.1% to 6,599.89


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), in the first trading session on Monday (1/11), rose 8.54 points (1.13%) to 6,599.89.

Two hundred seventy stocks were rising, 224 shares lower, and 167 stocks stagnant. The total trading volume was 13.07 billion shares with a turnover of Rp5.99 trillion.

Nine sectoral indexes supported the JCI direction. The sectoral index that contributed the most to greening the JCI was IDX trans 2.39%.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top gainers  were PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON) rose 4% to Rp520, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) climbed 3.01% to Rp22,250, PT JAPFA Tbk (JPFA) gained 2.32% to Rp1,765

Meanwhile, the top losers among the stocks in the LQ45  included PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), down 2.38% to Rp2,870. PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) down 1.95% to Rp3,020.  PT Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) Paper Mill fell 1.80% to Rp8,200.
