First Session, JCI Rises 1.22% to 6,341


At the end of the first trading session today, Friday (12/3), the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed up 76.72 points or 1.22% at 6,341.40.

There were 286 stocks higher, 184 stocks weakened, and 157 stocks were unchanged. Total share trading volume reached 16.44 billion shares with a total market turnover of Rp8 trillion.

All sector indices strengthened, supporting the increase in the JCI. The stock sectors with the largest increase were the plantation sector which rose 2.72%, the mining sector rose 3.29%, and the construction sector rose 2.46%.

Meanwhile, the stocks included in the LQ45 top gainers were PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) which rose 7.62%, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) gained 5.77%, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) was up 5.00%.

Meanwhile, the stocks among the LQ45 top losers were PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) which was down 1.09%, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) declined 0.95%, PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk. (ACES) decreased 0.93%.

Foreign investors recorded net sales of Rp141.20 billion in all markets.

The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) amounted to Rp168.6 billion, PT Bank Sinarmas Tbk (BSIM) Rp164.5 billion, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) Rp54 billion.

For stocks with the largest net purchases by foreigners, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) Rp143.5 billion, PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) Rp37.1 billion, and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) Rp36.1 billion.
