First Session, JCI Rises 1.45% to 6,013


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in the first trading session today, Wednesday (14/4), rose 85.87 points or 1.45% to 6,013.30.

Of all traded stocks, 302 stocks rose, 171 stocks fell, and 150 stocks were stagnant. The total volume of transactions reached 8.94 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.01 trillion.

All sectoral indices rose along with the JCI. The biggest gains in a row were the financial sector which rose 2.31%, and various industries rose 1.7%, the plantation sector rose 1.36%, the construction sector rose 1.2%. and trade and services sector grew 1.04%

Furthermore, the basic industry sector strengthened 0.94%, the mining sector by a degree of 0.88%, the manufacturing sector increased by 0.87%, the infrastructure sector strengthened by 0.85%, and the consumer goods sector edged up by 0.56%.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), which rose 5.51%, PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) gained 4.74%.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) which fell 2.03%, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) was down1.44%.
