Global Factors Pressure JCI


Jakarta - Global negative sentiment triggered the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) correction at the opening of trading Monday (25/10) by 17.37 points.

"We estimate that the JCI will correct today in line with the negative movements of global and regional markets," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

He added that domestic market players might also pay attention to the financial reports of several issuers that will be released this week.

At the opening of trading this Monday, the JCI fell 17.37 points (0.26%) to 6,626.37. At the same time, the leading stock index LQ45 weakened 4.43 points (0.46%) to 966.37.

For global conditions, at the close of last weekend, the US market moved varied and tended to weaken, where the Dow Jones index rose 0.21%, the S&P 500 lagged 0.11%, the Nasdaq 0.82%.

Issues that are likely to concern market participants this week include the ECB meeting to respond to rising inflation in Europ
