Global Factors Triggers JCI to Open Higher


Global positive sentiment triggered the Jakarta Composite Index's strengthening at the opening of trading on Monday (29/3) by 10.01 points.

"IHSG strengthened in view of the strong positive sentiment in the global and Asia region," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

At the opening of trading Monday, the JCI opened up 10.01 points (0.16%) to the position of 6,205.57. Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 rose 2.51 points (0.27%) to 941.34.

The global market sentiment that investors can monitor includes public concerns about the third wave of COVID-19.

In the past week, the average growth of positive patients globally was recorded at 215 thousand per day, more than the average for the previous week (192 thousand per day).
