Global Negative Sentiments Pressure JCI


Jakarta - Global negative sentiment triggered the correction of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading Tuesday (5/10) by 5.36 points.

"We estimate the JCI has the potential to weaken today, in line with pressure from global and regional markets," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, at the opening of trading on Tuesday, the JCI corrected 5.36 points (0.08%) to 6,337.33. Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 weakened 1.19 points (0.13%) to 909.82.

For global conditions, US stocks closed lower where the Dow Jones index fell 0.94%. The S&P 500 fell 1.30%, the Nasdaq fell 2.14%, as many investors chose to wait for the release of US economic data.

Several data to be released tonight include trade balance data, Markit Services PMI, and the US Market Composite PMI.
