Jakarta - The price of gold on Thursday (7/10) is expected to move in consolidation anticipating the tapering issue.

"The market is still consolidating in anticipation of the tapering issue ahead of the government's version of the US labor data report which will be released on Friday evening, tomorrow," said Commodity Observer Ariston Tjendra in Jakarta.

Tonight's US weekly jobless claims data will be a catalyst for gold price movements.

The gold price may still move in the range between US$ 1,740-1,770 per troy ounce.
