Jakarta - PT Industri Battery Indonesia (Indonesia Battery Corporation/IBC) signed a cooperation framework with PT Aneka Tambang and PT Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lydend Co., Ltd (CBL) for the initiation of an integrated electric vehicle battery project.

In addition, Antam and IBC also signed a similar agreement with LG Energy Solution.

Meanwhile, the estimated total investment value of these two partners is US$15 billion, or equivalent to Rp215 trillion.

"The development of the EV battery ecosystem initiative allows Indonesia to join the global battery supply chain, which is very important for people all over the world," said Deputy Minister of SOEs I Pahala Mansury in a press release on Tuesday (19/4).

He hopes that the consortium of IBS shareholders can also be involved in activities to accelerate investment activities to develop this battery ecosystem.
