JCI Opens Up 0.62% at 6,296
The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in trading today, Monday (8/3), opened up 40.12 points or 0.62% at 6,295.63.
Of all traded stocks, 240 stocks were up, 109 stocks weakened and 151 stocks were unchanged. The total trading volume reached 3.27 billion shares with a total market turnover of Rp1.01 trillion.
All sectoral indices strengthened to support the increase in the JCI. The stock sectors with the largest increase were the plantation sector which rose 1.18%, the basic industry sector rose 0.93%, and the infrastructure sector rose 0.72%.
Meanwhile, the top gainers in LQ45 were PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) which was up 3.72%, PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) gained 3.10%, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) rose 2.87%.
Meanwhile, the stocks among the LQ45 top losers were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) which was down 0.77%, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) slipped 0.39%.
Foreign investors recorded net-sales of Rp62.17 billion in all markets.
The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with Rp7.5 billion, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) Rp6.6 billion, and PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR) Rp5.3 billion.
