SOE Minister Erick Thohir inaugurated a state-owned battery holding called Indonesia Battery Corporation on Friday (26/3).

"God willing, I would like to express my gratitude for the support from the commissioners, directors, and the ranks of the Ministry of SOE so that we can prove today, our noble ideals as a great nation. We have a company that focuses on electric batteries," said in a press conference online, Friday (26/3).

He hopes that Indonesia Battery Corporation can realize the products in 2023.

"We have nickel wealth which is equivalent to 24% of nickel reserves in the world. With the EV battery, we make Indonesia friendlier with a green economy," he said.
