President Jokowi: Inflation Maintained at Around 3.3% in 2023


Jakarta - President Joko Widodo said that inflation will be maintained at around 3.3% in 2023.

"The state budget policy will continue to be directed at anticipating inflationary pressures from external sources, especially energy and food inflation. The assumption of inflation at this level also illustrates the sustainability of the demand side recovery, especially due to the improvement in people's purchasing power," said Jokowi in his speech on the 2023 state budget Bill and its financial note in front of the Legislative Plenary Meeting on Tuesday (8/16).

The average exchange rate of the rupiah is estimated to move around Rp14,750 per US dollar, and the average 10-year government bond interest rate is predicted to be at 7.85%.

Furthermore, Indonesian crude oil (ICP) is estimated to be around US$90 per barrel. On the other hand, oil and gas lifting is estimated to reach 660 thousand barrels per day and 1.05 million barrels of oil equivalen
