Jakarta - PT HMS Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) recorded a decrease in profit for the year attributable to owners for the January-September 2022 period of around 11.73% to Rp4.902 trillion from Rp5.554 trillion in the same period last year.

The company's financial report released on Friday (10/28) stated that the low-profit achievement was triggered by the high cost of goods sold by around 18.58% to Rp70.892 trillion from Rp59.784 trillion.

Selling expenses also increased by 0.13% to Rp4.711 trillion from Rp4.696 trillion.

However, HMSP managed to increase its net sales by around 15% to Rp83,398 trillion from Rp72.519 trillion.

Until September 2022, HMSP's total assets reached Rp47.787 trillion with liabilities of Rp21.084 trillion and equity of Rp26.703 trillion.

Meanwhile, the position of cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period was Rp6.275 trillion or fell more than three times from Rp20.555 trillion.
