Jakarta - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) achieved a surge in profit for the period attributable to owners at the end of September this year by around 59.40% to Rp30.652 trillion from Rp19.229 trillion.

According to the company's financial report released on Friday (10/28), the bank's profits increased by 20.75% to Rp65.983 trillion from Rp54.644 trillion due to high-interest income, sharia, and net premium contributions.

Other operating income increased by around 14.90% to Rp23.826 trillion from Rp20.736 trillion.

In the first nine months of this year, allowances for impairment losses declined by around 23.45% to Rp12.048 trillion. 

Other operating expenses jumped by around 5.91% to Rp36.650 trillion from Rp34.604 trillion.

Bank Mandiri's total assets reached Rp1,839 trillion for the period ending September this year, with liabilities of Rp1,424 trillion and equity of Rp231,387 trillion.
