JCI Ends Up 0.54% at 6,003


The strengthening of the mining sector triggered the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) to close higher on  Tuesday (6/4).

Today, the JCI ended rising 32.48 points or 0.54% to the position of 6,002.77.

Of all traded stocks, 301 stocks advanced, 186 stocks fell, and 159 stocks were unchanged.

The total trading volume reached 17.10 billion shares with a total market turnover of Rp8.90 trillion.

Nine out of 10 sectoral indices rose to become the main support for the JCI. The sectors that strengthened the most were mining, which rose 2.22%, construction was up to 1.02%, and trading gained at a rate of 0.96%.

Among the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA), which was up 7.18% to Rp970, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) up 5.91% to Rp2,330, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) increased 5.19% to 4,660.

Meanwhile, among the LQ45 top losers included PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA), which was down 2.43% to Rp2,010, PT Mitra Keluarga Kary Advisor Tbk (MIKA) down 2.30% to Rp2,550, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk ( ICBP) decreased 1.12% to Rp8,825.
