The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the end of trading today, on Friday (29/1), closed down 117.04 points or 1.96 percent to 5,862.35.

Of all stocks traded, 168 stocks rose, 377 shares fell, and 145 stocks were unchanged. Market turnover today was Rp9.83 trillion with 10.47 billion shares traded.

The shares included in the top gainers of the LQ45 index were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), which rose 11.35 percent, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) gained 6.86 percent, PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) was up 4.14 percent.

Meanwhile, the top losers that were included in the LQ45 index,  PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI), fell 6.74 percent, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) dropped 6.72 percent, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) declined 6, 49 percent.
