JCI Opens Down 0.14% at 6,300


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in trading today, on Wednesday (17/3), opened down 9.09 points or 0.14% at 6,300.61.

Five sectoral indices weakened and dragged the JCI movement. The weakest ones were the plantation, finance, mining, trade and services sector, and the basic industry sector, respectively.

Meanwhile, five other sectors still strengthened. The biggest increases orderly were the miscellaneous industry, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, and consumer goods.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) up 2.09%, PT PP Tbk (PTPP) up 1.93%, PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) up 1.91%.

The LQ45 top losers included PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), which fell 2.07%. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) fell 1.69%. PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMRA) fell 1.44 %.

Foreign investors recorded a net sale or net buy of Rp34.72 billion in all markets. The stocks with the largest net purchases by foreigners were PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) worth Rp14.8 billion, PT Timah Tbk (TINS) Rp9.6 billion, and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) Rp6.6 billion.

The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) amounted to Rp4.7 billion, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) Rp3.1 billion, and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) Rp2.3 billion.
