JCI Opens Down 2.01 Percent at 5,744 Today


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened falling 2.01 percent to 5,744 today, on Monday (1/2), 

Although the JCI fell, there were still two sectoral indices that strengthened, the plantation sector by 0.56 percent and the trade sector at 0.05 percent.

Eight sectors declined, with the miscellaneous industry sector that fell the most, a 3.63 percent, the financial sector fell 3.21 percent, the mining sector fell 2.45 percent, the construction and property sectors fell 1.92 percent, the manufacturing sector fell 1.82 percent, the infrastructure sector fell 1.64 percent, the consumer goods sector was eroded 1.62 percent, the basic industrial sector fell 1.33 percent.

Among the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), which rose 2.68 percent, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) increased 1.12 percent, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) was up 0.78 percent.

Meanwhile, the top losers were PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), which fell 6.76 percent, PT PP Tbk (PTPP) dropped 6.42 percent, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) was down 5, 41 percent.
