JCI Opens Higher on Foreign Investors' Buying


The buying action carried out by market players was the driving force behind the strengthening of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading on Thursday (15/4) by 7.34 points.

"The Indonesian Stock market continues to strengthen as foreign investors begin to return to their buying flow," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

Another thing that is also awaiting market players today is the release of data on Indonesia's trade balance for the period March 2021, with an expected surplus of around US$1.64 billion and projections of an increase in exports and imports of 11.7% and 6%, respectively.

As for the opening of trading this Thursday, the JCI rose 7.34 points (0.12%) to 6,057.61. Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 rose 2.04 points (0.23%) to 906.92.
