JCI Opens Lower, Tracking Regional, Global Markets


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading Monday (13/9) fell by 14.81 points tracking corrections in global and regional stock markets.

"We estimate that the JCI will move lower today, following the movement of global and regional exchanges," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

As for the opening of trading on Monday was corrected by 14.81 points (0.24%) to 6,080.06. Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 fell 4.8 points (0.55%) to 865.4.

For global conditions, at the close of last week, the US market moved down where the Dow Jones index fell 0.78%, the S&P 500 fell 0.77%, and the Nasdaq fell 0.87%.

He explained that the market's attention would be on inflation data and US retail sales from the US, which will be released this week.

In addition, the Fed meeting on September 21-22 is expected to provide clarity regarding when the Fed will slow down its monthly bond-buying program, possibly also affecting the market.

Meanwhile, this morning, regional markets opened lower, including the Kospi down 0.45% and the Nikkei down 0.16%.
