JCI Opens up 0.45% at 6,330 on Tuesday


The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today, on Tuesday (23/3), opened up 28.44 points or 0.45% at 6,329.57.

Nine sectoral indices strengthened and supported the JCI movement. The most significant increases in succession were the plantation, mining, consumer goods, various industries, and trade and services sectors.

The financial, manufacturing, infrastructure, and consumption sector indices also tracked the stronger JCI. Meanwhile, one other sector weakened and held back the strengthening of the JCI, namely the basic industrial sector.

While the stocks that were included in the top gainers in the LQ45, were PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) which rose 3.68%, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) gained 3.61%, PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) rose 3.54%.

Meanwhile, the stocks among the LQ45 top losers included PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) fell 1.35%, PT Japfa Tbk (JPFA) fell 1.25%, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) fell 1.10%.

Foreign investors recorded a net buy or net buy of Rp17.73 billion in all markets. The stocks with the largest foreign net purchases were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) worth Rp26.5 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) Rp10.8 billion, and PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) Rp4.6 billion.

The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV) amounted to Rp11 billion, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) Rp6.6 billion, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) Rp5.2 billion.
