JCI Rises, Tracking Global Markets


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading on Tuesday (26/10) opened up 14.36 points in line with positive global market sentiment.

"We estimate the JCI will strengthen today, in line with the positive movement of global and regional exchanges," said PT Samuel Sekuritas Research in Jakarta.

Domestic market participants may also pay attention to the financial reports of several listed companies that will be released this week.

Meanwhile, at the opening of trading on Tuesday, the JCI rose 14.36 points (0.22%) to 6,640.05. Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 climbed 2.98 points (0.31%) to 964.31.

On the global front, overnight, the US market closed higher with the Dow Jones index up 0.15%, the S & P 500 rose 0.47%, and the Nasdaq rose 0.80%.
