JCI Strengthens, Tracking Rise in Global Markets


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) at the opening of trading on Tuesday (4/1) opened up 9.82 points following the movement of global stock markets.

"We estimate that the JCI will continue to strengthen today in line with global and regional stock market sentiment," said Research by PT Samuel Sekuritas.

As for the JCI, at the opening of trading on Tuesday, it opened up 9.82 points (0.15%) to 6,675.13. Meanwhile, the leading stock index LQ45 rose 2.45 points (0.26%) to 945.77.

On the overseas front, on the first day of trading in 2022, the US stock market closed higher where the Dow Jones index rose 0.7%, the S&P 500 rose 0.6%, and the Nasdaq rose 1.2%.

Some of the data releases that US investors will pay attention to this week are purchasing PMI data, the minutes of the FOMC meeting, the trade balance, and the unemployment rate.

Meanwhile, this morning's Asian regional markets, including the Kospi, opened 0.05% flat, and the Nikkei rose 0.7%.
