KAI Plans to Sell Rp2 Trillion Debt Securities


Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia plans to issue debt securities with a maximum amount of Rp2 trillion.

Based on the company's prospectus released on Wednesday (7/13), the details are the sustainable bonds I phase I 2022 worth Rp1.5 trillion and the sustainable sukuk ijarah phase I 2022 amounting to Rp500 billion.

In the first stage, the company offers the bonds in three series: Series A with a tenor of 5 years; Series B with a tenor of 7 years; and Series C with a tenor of 10 years. The company also offers sukuk ijarah in three series.

The target for the money raised from sustainable bonds I is Rp2.2 trillion, and the target for sustainable sukuk Ijarah I is Rp800 billion.

The company will use the funds obtained from the public offering of bonds in the amount of Rp1 trillion to pay off the bonds debt, and it will use the rest for the development of the Southern Sumatra railway transportation in the form of railway infrastructure.
