Jakarta - PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) as of January-September posted a profit of Rp 1.01 trillion, down 51.03% compared to the same period in the previous year, Rp2.07 trillion.

The financial report released on Tuesday (9/11) showed that the company's profit decline was triggered by XL's moderate revenue growth of around 0.7%, to Rp19.8 trillion from Rp19.65 trillion.

In addition, operating expenses swelled by around 9.59% to Rp16.84 trillion from Rp15.36 trillion.

The increase in operating expenses was triggered by lower foreign exchange gains of around 39.86% to Rp6.38 billion, and profits from the sale and leaseback of towers decreased by 84.11% to Rp313.29 billion.

As of the end of September 2021, the company's total assets reached Rp68.58 trillion.
