SOE Minister Erick Thohir plans to reduce the number of commissioners of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to 2-3 people. Currently, there are five commissioners for the aviation SOEs.

"We will reduce the number of commissioners, either 2, or 3," said Erick at a press conference on Wednesday (2/6).

He considered that the plan to reduce the number of commissioners was aimed at Garuda Indonesia's efficiency.

"This is part of efficiency. Give it 2 weeks. Later there will be an EGMS (reduction in the number of commissioners)," he said.

Meanwhile, the current ranks of Garuda's board of commissioners are President Commissioner Triawan Munaf, Deputy President Commissioner Chairal Tanjung, Independent Commissioner Elisa Lumbantoruan, Zannuba Arifah, Peter Frans Gontha.
